Will the OUTLANDER™ Soft Truck Topper flap in the wind?
No, the truck bed topper's frame helps to hold the fabric tight.
Can the OUTLANDER™ or DURACAP™ Truck Caps handle heavy snow loads?
Yes, there is no need to remove our soft topper or hard truck cap in the winter. Remove ice and snow build up prior to driving.
Will the OUTLANDER™ or DURACAP™ Truck Tops weather and fade in the hot sun?
The soft top and hard cap are UV resistant. To extend the life of your truck bed shell, periodically use COVER CARE® Cleaner and UV Protectant.
Will mold grow on my OUTLANDER™ Soft Truck Topper in wet conditions?
The soft top is mildew resistant.
How do I keep my OUTLANDER™ and DURACAP™ Truck Caps looking good?
Clean with mild soap and water. Periodically treat your truck camper shell with COVER CARE® Cleaner and UV Protectant for additional protection. Do not use citrus or petroleum-based products. Avoid using COVER CARE® Cleaner and UV Protectant on windows.
Will your truck toppers work with electric tailgates?
Yes, our truck box toppers work with electronic tailgates.
Will my tailgate open when my truck topper is closed?
Yes, OUTLANDER™ and DURACAP™ Pickup Toppers allow for normal tailgate operation when the truck cap is open or closed.
Should I close my tailgate or truck topper first?
On OUTLANDER™ Soft Topper, close the rear window first then raise the bottom flap and close the tailgate. Ensure bottom flap on window overhangs the tailgate.
On DURACAP™ Hard Truck Top, you can close the rear panel or tailgate first.
Is it possible to lock myself in the DURACAP™ Hard Pickup Topper?
No, the internal dual locking system allows you to open the truck cap from the inside.
Can the DURACAP™ or OUTLANDER™ Truck Topper carry a load on top?
OUTLANDER™ Truck Top frame is not designed to carry a load.
DURACAP™ Hard Truck Cap with our truck topper rack can hold 1,000 lbs. static, 500 lbs. dynamic, or 400 lbs. off-road dynamic weight, evenly distributed. Otherwise, the DURACAP™ Truck Box Topper roof is not designed to carry a load.
Can I install an OUTLANDER™ or DURACAP™ Truck Topper on a truck with a utility track system?
Yes, OUTLANDER™ Soft Truck Tent Topper and DURACAP™ Truck Bed Cap applications for pickup trucks with a utility track system will receive both standard clamps and utility track clamps. Check our Shop by Truck listings.
Can I install the DURACAP™ or OUTLANDER™ Truck Topper on a truck with an over the rail toolbox?
No, an over the rail toolbox will interfere with how the OUTLANDER™ and DURACAP™ Truck Bed Toppers mount to your pickup truck.
Can I drive the OUTLANDER™ or DURACAP™ Pickup Topper through a carwash?
Yes, but be cautious with OUTLANDER™ Soft Truck Caps when entering the dryer and ensure to rinse off all cleaning agents completely.
Can I install the DURACAP™ or OUTLANDER™ Truck Topper myself?
OUTLANDER™ Soft Truck Toppers can be installed in about a half hour by two people and DURACAP™ Hard Truck Tops can be installed in about two hours by two people, for both time depends on ability level.

A (3) Year Limited Warranty applies to all DURACAP™ Hard Truck Toppers. A (1) Year Limited Warranty applies to all OUTLANDER™ Soft Truck Toppers. These limited warranties do not cover windows. See the complete warranty.
